Your rights and responsibilities

When you are supported by CATS Inc you have the right to:

 

  1. A quality service that meets your individual needs, and is age appropriate
  2. A service that seeks opportunities for self development and participation in the broader community
  3. A service and staff that promote positive images of people with a disability, and provides recognition and encouragement of goals and achievements
  4. A service free from any form of abuse and neglect, and treats people with respect
  5. Make complaints and give compliments about the service received.  If you make a complaint you will not get into trouble
  6. Be involved in planning the support you receive and in decisions that affect the support you receive
  7. Information about services that you may need
  8. A service that is sensitive to your cultural needs
  9. A service that is non-discriminatory
  10. Privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of your life
  11. Access to an advocate of your choice, and given information about Advocacy services
  12. Refuse a service

 

When you are supported by CATS Inc you have the responsibility to:

 

  1. Provide information about your support needs and personal circumstances that affect your service support
  2. Treat people and property with respect, free from abuse and assault.
  3. Be involved in planning the support you receive and in decisions that affect the support you receive
  4. Pay any fees or charges that are part of the agreed service
  5. Discuss any concerns or complaints about the service received
